Culture Secy injured in Natore road accident

Cultural Affairs Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas was critically injured in a road accident on Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway in Baraigram upazila of Natore this afternoon.
Ranjit's driver Deen Mohammad, and bodyguard Rafiqul Islam also sustained injuries in the incident, reports our Natore correspondent.
The cultural secretary received head injuries as a truck hit his car in the area around 1:30am, said Basudev Banik, superintendent of Natore police.
The victims were rushed to a local clinic.
Later, Ranjit was shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Police seized the truck from the spot, while its driver and his assistant managed to flee the scene.
