Ctg-Mymensingh route to get new intercity train

The government will launch a new intercity train on the Chittagong-Mymensingh route from December 19 this year to boost the service.
Railway Minister Mujibul Haque this afternoon unveiled the development while visiting the progress of preparation for a display by the Railway Nirapatta Bahini on the occasion of the Victory Day to be observed on December 16.
Tafazzal Hossain, director general of Bangladesh Railway, told The Daily Star Online that the train will be launched to improve the service for the people.
He added that an intercity train will leave Mymensingh while another will come from Chittagong every day.
