One held for gang-raping housewife in Moulvibazar

A man was arrested yesterday in a case filed over the rape of a three-month pregnant housewife in Moulvibazar Sadar upazila on January 20.

Odud Miah (29) was arrested from his house at Chadnighat area of the upazila yesterday night following a case filed by the victim against two named and two unnamed people with the Moulvibazar police station, reports our local correspondent quoting Yasinul Haque, officer-in-charge of the police facility.

The woman is now undergoing treatment at Moulvibazar 250-bed hospital.

Quoting the case statement, OC Yasinul said that miscreants entered the woman's house on January 20 midnight while her husband was not home.
