Man arrested for throwing stones at moving train

A man was arrested on the charge of throwing stones at a running train in Jashore early today.

Ananda Hazra Santosh (30) was caught red-handed while throwing stones at the Chitra Express train as it was crossing Nawapara area around 9:30am, Sub-inspector Saidur Rahman of Khulna Railway Police Station told our Khulna correspondent.

In primary interrogation, the arrestee admitted to the crime. A case has been filed against him.

Passengers have long been demanding effective steps to end stone-throwing at running trains since it can be fatal for both commuters and railway employees.
