Man accused in 4 cases stabbed to death in Khulna

A man accused in four cases was stabbed to death by unidentified criminals in Khulna's Sonagazi upazila today.

The victim was identified as Niaz (30), son of Shahjahan, hailing from Choto Baira village of the upazila, reports our correspondent quoting Mamatazul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sonagazi Police Station.

The incident took place at Cross road, adjacent to Rubi shop of the village.

Quoting locals, OC Mamatazul said, 10 to 12 criminals carried out an attack on Niaz. They stabbed him indiscriminately and fled the scene.

Locals rescued the wounded Niaz and took him to Khulna Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the OC said.

The OC said the victim was accused in four cases including arms, narcotics and robbery filed with Sonagazi Police Station.
