50-year-old man arrested for raping woman in Rangamati

A 50-year-old man was arrested today in connection with the rape of a woman in Baghaichhari upazila of Rangamati.

The accused found the woman alone at her home and raped her. On hearing the victim screaming, neighbours detained the man and informed police, said Md Anwar Hossain Khan, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station.

The victim's father filed a case against the accused with Baghaichhari Police Station, reports our Rangamati correspondent.

"The accused is in our custody now and he will be produced before the Rangamati court tomorrow, said Md Anwar Hossain Khan, officer-in-charge of Baghaichhari Police Station.
