11 idols damaged in Gopalganj

Miscreants have damaged 11 idols in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.

A case was filed with Kashiani Police Station on Tuesday accusing some unidentified persons in connection with the incident, reports our local correspondent quoting police.

As per the case statement, miscreants vandalised 11 idols, made on the occasion of Saraswati Puja, in front of the Durga temple at Rahuthar village on Monday night.

Azizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station, said Mrinal Maitra, idol builder, filed the case. 

The culprits will be identified and brought under the law, the OC said.
