3-year-old found dead in water tank in Dhaka's Shyampur

Body of a three-year-old boy was recovered from a rooftop water tank in Dhaka's Shyampur area this morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately as he was not the child of any resident of the three-storey building.

Mofizul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shyampur Police Station, said on information police rushed to the spot around 9:30am and sent the body to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue around 2:30pm for autopsy.

"The body was already decomposed and we are suspecting he was dumped there after killing," he said.
