Youth held over Dhaka hotel manager murder

Detectives today claimed to have arrested an accused in a case filed over the murder of a hotel manager in Dhaka.

The arrestee, Md Mosharraf Hossain alias Mosharraf Karim, 18, who hailed from Lalmohan upazila of Bhola, allegedly killed the manager of Hotel Arafat & Restaurant in the capital on August 25 following a dispute over salary payment and went into hiding, said Abdul Baten, joint commissioner of detective branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

A case was filed with Bangshal Police Station in this connection a day after the killing, the DB official said while briefing reporters at DMP Media Centre in Dhaka today.

On information, detectives conducted a drive in Bhola last night and detained Mosharraf early today, he further said, also claiming that in primary interrogation the accused has confessed his crime.
