Youth hacked to death

A youth was hacked to death in Bhandaria upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased, Samitro Sadhok, 25, son of Manoranjan Sadhok of Uttar Shialkathi village, was a day labourer and worked in the brick kilns. 

Quoting family members, police said Samitro was returning home on Saturday around 9:30pm after gossiping with his friends in the village when some unidentified people hacked him on his chest with a sharp knife. Samirto succumbed to his injuries on the way to Bhandaria Upazila Health Complex.
