Woman found dead

An unidentified woman was found dead at Bayashinga village in Bagerhat Sadar upazila yesterday.

 Bagerhat Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahtab Uddin said locals informed the police that a woman's body was lying beside a shrimp enclosure at Bayashinga village.

Police recovered the body and sent it to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The woman aged about 31 could not be identified immediately, Mahtab said. She might have been killed by the criminals anytime at night as her throat was found cut with a sharp weapon, the OC added.
