Woman found dead

A housewife was found dead in her in-laws' house in Durgapur village under Akhaura municipality of the district yesterday.

The deceased, Tania Akter, 21, was wife of Saudi Arabia expatriate Sumon Khadem of the village and daughter of Jamal Mia of Nayabadi village in Bijoynagar upazila.

Police recovered Tania's body hanging from the ceiling of a room in her in-laws' house in the morning and sent it to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital for autopsy, Officer-in-Charge of Akhaura Police Station Mosharraf Hossain Tarafder said.

The reason behind her death could not be ascertained immediately, he added.
