Unidentified youth found dead

Police recovered the body of a young man from a pond in Vitikalishima area under Bijoynagar upazila yesterday.

The identity of the deceased, aged around 35 years, could not be ascertained as of filing of this report around 7:30pm.

Local people spotted the floating body in the morning and informed the police, who recovered the body and sent it to the hospital for autopsy, Inspector (Investigation) Kabir Hossain of Bijoynagar Police Station said.

Inspector Kabir said criminals might have killed the youth somewhere else and later dumped the body there.
