Two sisters drown in Natore

Two sisters drowned in Nandakuza river at Sadar upazila yesterday.

The deceased were Shadia Khatun, 9, and Shimla Khatun, 7, daughters of Hanif Sheikh of Kumarkhali village in Kushtia.

Laxmipur Kholabaria Union Parishad Chairman Baten Bhuwan said the two girls drowned while taking a bath in the river.

They had come with their parents to their grandfather's house at Ahmedpur village in Natore Sadar upazila from Kushtia three days ago.
