Two kids drown

Two minor children drowned in a pond near their house at Boro Bakail village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday.

The victims, Modhu Akter, 7, daughter of Mofiz Mia, and Eti Akter, 6, daughter of Golap Mia of the village, went out for playing at noon but did not return for long, family members said.

Around 5:00pm, neighbours found them floating in a nearby pond.

They were taken to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital where on duty doctors declared them dead, said Md Nabir Hossain, OC of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station.
