2 ‘JMB militants’ held in Bogra

The detectives have detained two members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) from Adamdighi upazila of Bogra.

The detainees: Rubel Hossain, 27, of Chhoto Chok village in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, and Abdul Bari of Paarchoka village of the same upazila are the members of JMB’s military wing, our Bogra correspondent reports quoting police.

Tipped off, a team from Police Headquarters along with Detective Branch (DB) of police in Bogra launched a drive around 10:45pm yesterday and detained the duo from Pouta Government Primary School ground in Adamdighi upazila, said Sonatan Chakraborty, assistant superintendent of police (Sadar circle) in Bogra.

The team also recovered two foreign pistols, 4 magazines and 12 bullets from their possessions, Sonatan Chakraborty added.
