Two found dead in C'nawabganj

A youth and a woman were found dead in Shibganj upazila of the district yesterday.

The deceased were carpenter Tokin Ali, 25, son of Monir Ali of Tartipur village, and Sumi Khatun, 20, wife of Milon Ali of Lagatpara village. Tokin went out of his house on Friday and since then he remained missing.

Habibul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said informed by locals, police recovered the body of Tokin from Tartipur cremation ground ghat near the Pagla river around 1:30pm.

The body was later sent to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.

Meanwhile, police recovered the hanging body of Sumi from her house at Lagatpara village around 7:00am and sent it to the hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sub-Inspector Shahidul Islam of the police station.
