Three arrested with fake FF certificates

Police in a drive yesterday detained three people with fake freedom fighters' (FF) certificates from Natore town.

The law enforcers also seized some fake certificate making materials from their possession.

The arrestees are Emran Hossain, 20, son of Saidul Jowaddar of Parbarom village in Baraigram upazila, Robin Mandol, 19, son of Faraz Mandol of Lalmonipur village, and Sohag Ali, 31, son of Malek Mia of Harishpur area in Sadar upazila.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Police Station Akibul Islam said Emran and Robin got jobs as police constables with fake FF's certificates.

After examining their certificates during investigation police came to know that the certificates provided by the duo were forged and Sohag prepared those computer generated certificates for them, said the SI, also investigation officer of the case.

Later, a police team conducted a drive at Baro Harishpur in the town yesterday noon and arrested the three with fake certificates and certificate making accessories, he said, adding that a case was lodged against the three.
