Teenage boy drowns in pond

A teenage boy drowned in a pond at Kandiarchar in South Surma upazila of Sylhet district around 4:00pm on Tuesday.

Mahmudul Haque Sohel, chairman of Moglabazar Union Parishad, said Fahim Ahmad, 15, son of Sona Miah of the village, went to a pond near his house to take a bath.

Suddenly, he slipped into the pond and drowned. Locals later found the body floating on the pond and rescued it.
