Teacher held for raping nine-year-old

A schoolteacher was arrested on charge of violating a nine-year-old girl in Harinakundu upazila on Saturday.

The arrestee is Golam Kibria, 55, of Pashchim Abdalpur village under Islamic University Police Staion.

Police said Kibria, an assistant teacher of Hariarghat Government Primary School in Harinakundu, used to sexually harass the fourth grader of the institution.

On Saturday noon, he asked the girl to come to the roof of the school building and violated her during tiffin hours.
