On May 15, the telecom division, telecom regulator and mobile phone operators decided to provide mobile phone subscribers with a free minute for each call drop as compensation from June if they experience the disruption more than once a day.

Earlier, Tarana also conducted several meetings with the operators on reducing call drops and improving service quality.

In October last year, Tarana directed all mobile phone operators to improve their service quality, or they would have to compensate their customers.
