Students protest by releasing fish fry

Students of Gaibandha Government Boys College yesterday launched a protest programme by releasing fish fries in the waterlogged ground on the college premises.

Organised by Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) college unit, the students demanded immediate renovation of the college ground by filling earth.

During the release of fish fries, the speakers said this is a token protest.

Despite repeated pleas, the authorities are yet to take any initiative to renovate the low lying college ground.

They said after a heavy shower, the college ground goes under knee deep water that hampers movement of students.
