Stalker hacks two sisters, surrenders

Two school going sisters were hacked allegedly by a stalker at their residence at Khodmagura village of Rajbari's Baliakandi upazila on Tuesday night.

After the incident, accused Alauddin Sarder,16, son of Mokter Sarder of Khamar Magura village, surrendered to police. He is a student of Class X of Notapara High School.

The injured are Jamila Akhter, 16, a student of Class X, and Hasnahena, 15, a student of Class IX of the school, and daughters of Abdur Rahman Mridha. They were admitted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital.

The victims' father said Alauddin used to stalk Jamila and offered her love proposal several times.

“As Jamila refused his proposal, Alauddin came to our house with a sharp weapon and hacked my two daughters indiscriminately while they were reading around 8:00pm,” said Mridha.

They were later rushed to the hospital.

Preparation to file a case was going on till filing of this report around 6:00pm yesterday, said Office-in-Charge of Baliakandi Police Station Hasina Begum.
