Spinning mill gutted

A devastating fire gutted huge quantities of properties of a spinning mill in Padda Bila area in Sadar upazila of Jessore on Tuesday noon.

Quoting fire service officials, police said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at North South Spinning Mills in the town around 3:30pm and soon engulfed the adjacent areas.

On information, three fire fighting units from Jessore Fire Station doused the blaze after four hours of frantic effort.
