Speaker off to Australia to join Commonwealth Parliamentary Association meeting

Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today left Dhaka for Australia to join a meeting of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) there.

Shirin Sharmin, also Chairperson of CPA Executive Committee left for Australia on a five-day visit, said a Parliament Secretariat handout. 

She is scheduled to attend CPA Mid-Year Executive Committee Meeting being held from April 24 to 28 at Darwin, the capital of Australian northern territory.

Shirin Sharmin is expected to return home on April 28.
