Ailing social welfare minister flown to Singapore

Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali has been flown to Singapore in an ailing condition, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.

Earlier, reports were out that he was on life support at Birdem hospital in Dhaka.

Maidul Islam, public releations officer of the ministry, told the Prothom Alo that he will be taken to Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

His wife and daughter are expected to travel along with him.

Mohsin Ali caught pneumonia on Thursday morning. He was on life support at the Birdem hospital since then. His condition deteriorated yesterday, PRO Maidul added.
