The nationwide eight-hour hartal enforced by Jamaat-e-Islami protesting the execution of war criminal Mir Quasem Ali appeared to have no impact in Dhaka city.

The city buzz in the capital was uninterrupted as witnessed this morning.

Vehicular movement was normal on the streets. Privately-run cars were also aplenty.

Traffic congestions were seen in Mirpur, Dhanmondi, Mirpur Road, Motijheel, Panthapath, Moghbazar and many other areas.

Besides, law enforcers were also seen stationed at strategic points.
