Six kids return home from Indian jail

Six children, including three girls, returned home on Monday after serving one year’s imprisonment for intrusion.

Indian police handed them over to Benapole Immigration Police on Monday night.

The returnees are Sakib, 10, son of Jewel Mia, Akash Sheik, 7, son of Amirul Sheik, Romeem Sheik, 10, son of Ali Sheikh, Tina Mondol, 12, daughter of Alauddin, Jesmin Akter, 12, daughter of Billal Hossain, Roksana, 13, daughter of Morsehd Ali. They all hail from Narail and Chittagong.

Police said they were trafficked to India about one and a half years ago. Police handed over the children to Rights Jessore who will arrange their return to their families.
