Six held for killing 3 alleged abductors

Police here yesterday arrested six accused in a case for killing three alleged abductors on August 25.

The arrestees are Md Khokon Sardar, 32, Ahsan Habib Hasan, 25, Sujon Das, 18, Krishna Chandra alias Bishu Das, 27, Liton Das, 20, and Abu Bakar Siddique, 16, of Koromza in Santhia upazila of the district.

They were identified from a video footage of the incident, said Shahed Mahamud, officer-in-charge of Santhia Police Station.

Police are raiding different areas to arrest the other accused, said the OC.

Local people chased and caught the three as they were allegedly trying to abduct a kid in C&B Chotur Bazar area of the upazila on the day.

Later, the angry mob gave the trio a good beating, leaving them dead on the spot.

They are Md Alauddin Hossain alias Alal Member, 52, Abu Bakar, 48, and Aslam Hossain, 50. 

Hailing from different districts, the victims came to the area for business purpose, said family sources.

Md Rana Hossain, brother of Alal, filed a case, accusing 3000 people of the area in connection with the incident, said police.
