Sirajganj journo’s killers to be punished: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today warned that the political and administrative measures would be taken against those involved in the killing of a journalist in Sirajganj.

Abdul Hakim Shimul, Sirajganj correspondent of Daily Samakal who sustained bullet injuries during an infighting of local Awami League yesterday, succumbed to his injuries today.

“None of the offenders inside the party would be spared regardless of whatever powerful he or she might be,” he said while inaugurating Tulkai Bridge on Munshiganj-Louhajong-Mawa highway in Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj.

The minister also expressed shock at the death and said his party has formed an investigation committee to find out facts behind the killing.
