Siblings drown in pond

Two siblings drowned in a pond in Bazar area under Mahalchhari upazila of the district yesterday afternoon. The deceased are Arni Chakma, 7, and her brother Orian Chakma, 3, of the area. The victims' father Arban Chakma said Orian fell into the pond near their house while playing on its bank. At this, Arni tried to save her brother and drowned.
