Saudi expat's wife killed

A youth allegedly killed a Saudi expatriate's wife at Chhoto Butuni village in Shibalaya upazila early yesterday.

The victim was Ayesha Begum, 35, wife of Nazrul Islam of the village.

The alleged killer is Azad Bepari, 38, son of Monor Uddin Baaron Bepari of Bil-Baroil village.

Victim's family members said Ayesha lived at her husband's house with her eighth grade son Mobin Hossain. Her 12-year-old daughter Sohana Akter stays in a residential madrasa at Tara in Ghior upazila.

Mobin said Azad pulled his mother Ayesha out of her house around 1:00 am.

Nazrul's elder brother Abdul Karim said Salim Bepari and his wife informed him that Ayesha was seen lying beside her house around 1:30am.

Karim said Ayesha died on the way to Manikganj Sadar Hospital.
