'Rohingya' woman with 2 children held

Police detained a woman along with two children in the district on Tuesday, suspecting them as Rohingyas.

Police detained them from the Rabna bypass area in Tangail Sadar upazila in the morning, said Saidur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tangail Model Police Station.

The detainees are Ayesha, 30, and her sons Arafat, 4, and Akash, 2. Police suspected them as Rohingyas because of their language, he said.

They were sent to the Rohingya refugee camp at Kutupalang of Cox's Bazar yesterday, the OC added.
