Robbers loot jewellery shop in Manikganj [Video]

A group of armed and masked robbers looted gold ornaments from a jewellery shop in Manikganj town this evening.

At least 7 robbers came to Swarnakerpotty area with a white coloured private car and an ash coloured microbus and entered Nag Jewellers around 7: 00 pm, said police and the shop owner.

“A group of 7-8 masked and armed people entered the shop and looted more than 100 bhori of gold,” Chandan Nag, owner of the shop, told our local correspondent. 

They left the area after exploding crude bombs committing robbery in 20 minutes, our correspondent reports from the spot.   

“We are checking all roads to arrest the criminals,” said Habibullah Sarker, officer-in-charge (OC) of Manikganj Police Station.

The incident of looting was recorded in the CC camera of the shop.
