3 killed as bus overturns in Cox’s Bazar

Three people were killed and 15 others injured as a picnic bus overturned after its driver lost control over the steering in Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar this morning.

The identities of the victims could not be known immediately, reports our Cox’s Bazar staff correspondent.

The bus overturned on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Ramu upazila as its driver lost control over the steering around 6:00am, leaving three people dead and 15 others injured, said Md Mujahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Tolatuli Highway Police Station in the upazila.

The injured victims were taken to Ramu Upazila Health Complex and Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

The bus was heading for Cox’s Bazar from Hathazari of Chittagong.
