Rickshaw puller stabbed to death in Dhaka

A rickshaw puller was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants in the capital’s Adabor area early today.

The deceased was identified as Osman Goni, 35.

Sub Inspector Kabir Hossain of Adabor Police Station told The Daily Star that locals found the victim severely injured and informed the police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the SI added.

Several injury marks were found on the victim’s body, the police official informed.

“We are suspecting that it might be a hijacking case. However, his rickshaw was found at the spot.”

The body is now kept at DMCH morgue, the SI said.
