“Most girl students in Sujanagar municipal area face harassment on the way to and from schools because of the frequent movement of stalkers around their educational institutions,” speakers said.

They said this at a human chain programme in front of Sujanagar Pilot High School yesterday, protesting the gang rape of two schoolgirls on August 1 and demanding punishment of the culprits.

Covering their faces with black cloths, over 2000 fellow students joined the rally.

Speakers alleged that no one dares to protest against the culprits because of their political clout.

Police yesterday arrested Hazrat Ali, Al-Amin Hossain, Mohammad Mithun, Mohammad Panku and Mohammad Sohel of Charbhabanipur area in connection with the incident.
