Rain likely for 2 more days, warning no. 3 at ports

Rainfall caused by active monsoon and a low in the Bay is prevailing in most parts of Bangladesh and is likely to linger for two more days.

Met office has advised to hoist cautionary signal no. 3 at all marine ports. It says squally weather may affect North Bay and adjoining coastal areas.

The low has moved northwestwards and now lies over West central Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay, weather forecast said today.

The rain might last for two more days, according to what Met official Sanaullah Mia told The Daily Star yesterday.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department recorded 18 milimetres of rain Dhaka in the last 24 hours until 6:00am today.
