Public university admission tests from 3rd week of Sept

Seven public agricultural universities are going to introduce the uniform admission test, known as “cluster system” this year.

The decision came at a meeting of Bangladesh Bishwabidyalaya Parishad, an association of public university vice-chancellors, held in the capital today, said a statement of BBP.

Vice chancellors of public universities, at the meeting, also fixed the tentative dates for the admission test for 2019-20 session.

Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Khulna Agricultural University, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University and Patuakhali Science and Technology University will hold single admission test on November 30.

Bangladesh Bishwabidyalaya Parishad decided that Jahangirnagar University will hold tests in between September 22 to October 3.  

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology will hold admission test on October 5. Dhaka University will hold admission tests on September 13,14,20,21,27 and 28, and Jagannath University will hold admission tests on September 14,20,21 and 29.

Rajshahi University will hold test in between October 20 to 22, Chittagong University will hold tests between October 26 and October 31.

Some 9.88 lakh students have passed the HSC and its equivalent examinations under the 10 education boards. Of them, 47,286 got GPA-5, while 5.07 lakh scored GPA-3.5 and above.

Usually, a student having scored at least GPA-3.5 in HSC or equivalent tests is eligible to apply to a university.
