PSTU VC freed after 18 hours of confinement

The vice chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) was freed yesterday after 18 hours of confinement.

Students of the university confined VC Harun-Or-Rashid and other officials to their respective rooms in the administrative building around 10:30am on Tuesday, demanding withdrawal of semester drop system.

Registrar Sawdesh Chandra Samonto said a discussion would be held between the university authority and the students to resolve the issue at a seminar on March 30.
