Prime accused in Mymensingh teenager murder held

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today arrested Akkas Ali alias Akka, who is the prime accused in a case filed for killing a teenage boy in Mymensingh on September 25.

Akka, owner of a hatchery, was arrested from Bhairab in Kishoreganj around 2:30am, Md Sajjad Hossain, senior assistant director of Rab-14, told The Daily Star.  

Sagor Mia was reportedly beaten to death for his alleged involvement in stealing a water pump from a hatchery in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh.

A murder case was filed against 12 people, including Akkas, with Gouripur Police Station.
