PM calls Mushfiq, Shakib over historic win

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today congratulated all the players and officials of Bangladesh cricket team for their historic victory against Sri Lanka in the 100th Test match.

PM Hasina has called up Bangladesh Captain Mushfiqur Rahim and congratulated the team for winning the historic match.

The premier also called up Shakib Al Hasan and conveyed her congratulations, said a press release issued in this regard following the victory in Sri Lanka.

“You have created history, my heartiest congratulations to you. Joy Bangla,” the PM said.

The premier also bestowed her blessing upon the players of the Bangladesh team.

Tigers beat Sri Lanka in the 2nd Test of the series by four wickets at P Sara Oval in Colombo to level the series 1-1, also becoming only the fourth team to win their 100th Test match after Australia, West Indies and Pakistan.
