PM shocked at deaths in India train crash

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed her condolence over the tragic train accident in India which left over a 100 people dead and scores injured.

“I am shocked and sadden at the tragic end of lives of so many people and injury of score others in the train accident,” Hasina said in a condolence message to her Indian counterpart Norendra Modi.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also sought eternal peace of the departed souls and extended her heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved familyies, Ehsanul Karim, press secretary to the PM told The Daily Star this evening.

KHALEDA’S CONDOLENCE

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia also expressed her condolence over the train crash in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh today.

Khaleda Zia extended her sympathy to the bereaved family members in a post on her twitter account, Sayrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP Chairperson Khaleda’s media wing told The Daily Star.

“I am shocked at the incident. I am extending my profound sympathy to the Indian government, its people and family members of the victims,” Khaleda said seeking eternal peace of the departed souls.
