Patrons of Gulshan, Sholakia attacks indentified: Home minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan today said the patrons of Gulshan and Sholakia terrorist attacks have been identified.

"The members of law enforcement agencies indentified the patrons and the perpetrators of the recent terrorist attacks in Gulshan restaurant and Sholakia," he said while talking to reporters at his secretariat office today.

The minister, however, did not want to disclose details saying, "The investigators are doing their works… And details will not be divulged right now for the sake of the investigations."

Replying to a query of journalist, the home minister said legal steps will be taken against the instigators and patrons of the recent terrorist attacks.

He said failing to unseat the present government through arson attacks and unleashing terrors earlier, the vested quarter resorted to secret killings and terrorist attacks.

"But the present government is overcoming the overall situation… And all ill-attempts of that quarter went in vain," the minister observed.

Asked about the attack in France, Khan said, "Terrorism is now a global threat. No country is safe of the terrorist attacks."

He added that all should fight against this global problem unitedly.
