Pathao expands to Sylhet city

Pathao launched its popular bike-hailing service in Sylhet city on a test-run basis from today.

The service will currently be limited to motorcycles and if successful will expand to cars as well, Nabila Mahboob, marketing manager of Pathao, told The Daily Star.

They have started the service in Sylhet city with around 100 bikes, Nabila said.

The app-based ride-hailing service, Pathao, is the first to launch its services outside Dhaka starting with Chittagong on October 10.

The total number of vehicles is about 5,000 in three cities that offer around 10,000 rides daily.
