Over 2,000 Rohingyas sent back to Myanmar after arrest in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested over 2,000 Rohingyas conducting a drive in some houses at St Martin's island on Sunday.

They conducted the drive from the evening till 10:00pm following the order of the deputy commissioner of the district Md Ali Hossain.

Later, the arrestees were sent back to Myanmar in trawlers, said the DC.

Meanwhile, thousands of Rohingyas were still entering the country though several points including Amtoli border, Tumburu Border, Anjuman Para, Hwaikong Ghat.
