One fined for illegal sand lifting

A mobile court fined a trader Tk 50,000 for lifting sand illegally from the banks of the Moharashi River in Jhinaigati upazila on Saturday. The convict is Sirajul Islam, 35, son of late Tofazzal Hossain of Gouripur area in the town. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Selim Reza led the court.
