There will be no compromise with the security of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon said today at the parliament.

“Security measures for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be dealt with carefully in the future,” he said on the note of a recent incident of emergency with the premier’s flight.

The minister presented the findings of probe, conducted by his ministry and Biman Bangladesh, during discussion at the inaugural day of the thirteenth session of the tenth parliament this evening.

Menon also held human factors responsible for the incident and said, “The security agency is looking into the matter and determining whether negligence or sabotage is behind it.”

Six people have so far been suspended in this connection and necessary measures will be taken against others on the basis of specific evidence, he added.

On November 27, a VVIP flight of the national flag carrier, carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage, made an emergency landing in Turkmenistan while on way to Hungary.

After four hours of repair, the flight headed back to Hungary. Six Biman Bangladesh Airlines staff and officials were suspended after their negligence was found into the incident.
