Youth tortured on theft charge

A local influential man tortured a youth inhumanly, bringing allegation of stealing a goat against him at Jamtoil village in Sirajganj's Kamarkhand upazila of Friday.

The 25-year-old victim, who took treatment at a local clinic, filed a case with Kamarkhand Police Station yesterday accusing Happy Hossain of the village.

A video clip of the inhuman torture went viral in the internet on Friday night.

OC of Kamarkhand Police Station Rafikul Islam said after filing of the case they raided the village to arrest the culprit, but he went into hiding after the video clips went viral.
