Youth stabbed dead

A man was stabbed to death by unknown criminals in Rangpur's Mithapukur upazila early yesterday.

The deceased, Gulshan Mia, 30, son Abdul Haq of Mominpur village, was owner of a makeshift tea-stall at Jaigirhar area in the upazila.

Quoting witnesses, police said after closing his shop Gulshan was returning home around 1:30am.

On his way, when he reached near Durgapur village, two criminals, wearing helmets, waylaid him and stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapon.

Locals rescued injured Gulshan and took him to Rangpur Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
